Dark-sand cove of about 500 m between cliffs and farmland, with very clear water, within the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Site
One of the best snorkelling spots in the area: fishing is banned and there are groupers, octopus and corals near the rocks
Chiringuito, showers, toilets, sunloungers and lifeguard in summer
Good to know
The car park by the beach is small and paid, and in July-August it fills up before 9:00
Alternative: a free car park with 100 spaces at the west entrance to Maro (opened in 2025), then walk down or take the summer shuttle (in 2026: 10:00-20:30, €3 return, until 15 September)
Don't park beyond the barrier even if it's raised: you'll be fined
Bring water shoes and snorkel goggles; best from May to October
Combine it with the Cueva de Nerja (5 min) or the Águila Aqueduct
