Bollitos (small stuffed buns; with pringá, with sobrasada and cured cheese, with salmon and payoyo cheese, with black pudding), partridge pâté, cured meats, baked presa ibérica, artichokes, oxtail, smoked sardine toast and local wines such as La Encina del Inglés.
Rustic tabanco (traditional wine tavern) with Ronda wines at a good price and views of the Tajo and the bridge from the tables at the back, without viewpoint prices.
Ask for a table at the back to see the Tajo. There is usually a wait: arrive early. Some find the portions small (April 2026). The covered terrace has heaters in winter.
La Ciudad has narrow streets and little space: park at the Mercadillo (Martínez Astein car park, 24 h, €1.70/h) and walk across the Puente Nuevo.
