• Official trail El Juanar–Puerto Marbella: 2.7 km one way, about 1 h 15 min, easy, along a track shaded by pines
• Mirador del Corzo, with views of Ojén and the Mijas coast
• Mirador del Macho Montés: the ibex sculpture and Marbella at your feet
• Olivar de Juanar (about 850 m), the ibex research centre and the Refugio, the former hunting lodge of the Marquises of Larios
• If you have more energy: climb to the Cruz de Juanar (1,184 m) via the Puerto de las Alanas; the last stretch is steep and sometimes you need to use your hands

Good to know

• Bring binoculars: a good area to spot birds and ibex
• Eating: the Refugio de Juanar is known for game meat (+34 952 88 10 00)
• The descent from the Cruz is stony and slippery when wet
• No fires or camping
