About
- Water route along the Chíllar riverbed, between Nerja and Frigiliana, with the Cahorros (rock passages a little over a metre wide) and pools such as the Poza de los Patos
- About 8–9 km one way to the pool area, almost always with water at ankle or knee height
- It is inside the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park
Good to know
- Warning: Nerja Town Hall closed access in summer from 2023 for safety and fire reasons, and the Junta (regional government) is processing (BOJA, May 2026) a concession for a company to manage controlled access with limited numbers and an entry fee. Check on nerja.es or at the tourist office whether it is open, regulated or closed before you go
- Outside summer it can usually be done: closed shoes that can get wet, never flip-flops; avoid rainy or stormy days
- Bring water and food: there is nothing along the whole route
