About
- Marbella's seafront promenade adds up to almost 12 km: from the La Bajadilla fishing port, through the centre, El Ancón and Río Verde, to Puerto Banús and San Pedro
- The classic stretch, from Marbella marina to the entrance of Puerto Banús, is about 6.5 km, flat, under palm trees
- Along the way: Avenida del Mar with the Dalí sculptures, the Marbella Lighthouse (1864) and the beaches of La Fontanilla, Casablanca and Nagüeles
- Chiringuitos (beach bars) with espetos (sardines grilled on skewers) and, towards Puerto Banús, beach clubs
- Part of the Málaga Senda Litoral; bike lane running alongside for much of the route
Good to know
- By bike: along the promenade, maximum 10 km/h and pedestrians have priority
- Do it one way only and come back by taxi or city bus
- If you leave the centre, park in the underground car park on Avenida del Mar
- Sunset is when it's most tempting: finish with something to eat or drink in Puerto Banús
