About
- Pedestrian and cycling path by the sea, part of the Senda Litoral project; in 2022 it was about 20 km and 90% complete (about 23 km planned)
- Passes through protected natural areas and near seven almenara (coastal watch) towers: Arroyo Vaquero, Saladavieja, Padrón, Velerín, Guadalmansa (Desmochada), Saladillo and Baños (Casasola)
- 30 m pedestrian walkway over the Arroyo Vaquero (2022)
- At the mouth of the Guadalmansa there are Phoenician and Roman remains
Good to know
- There are boardwalk sections and urban promenade sections; some may be under works: don't plan to do it all in one go
- There's hardly any shade: cap, water and sun cream
- Ideal by bike (hire at Costa Bike, Avda. España 22)
- Several towers are inside housing developments or hotel gardens (e.g. the Padrón one): you can see them from outside
