About
- Village at 524 m in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, between the Líbar and Montalate mountains
- Cured-meat capital of the Serranía: it has been making embutidos (cured sausages) for over a century, sold in Spain and abroad
- Within its municipality are the Cueva de la Pileta (Palaeolithic art) and the Cueva del Gato with the Charco Frío
- From the station start the Cueva del Gato trail and the Guadiaro river trail to Jimera de Líbar
Good to know
- Take home some cured meats: lomo, chorizo and morcilla from the village's factories
- Feria de la Chacina in December (since 2002): fried lomo, chorizo in wine and tripe stew
- Verbena del Tren in late July or early August at the station, with a "water party"
- Festivals: San Marcos (25 April) and Virgen del Rosario (7 October)
