About

• White village at 690 m, of about 950 inhabitants, under huge rock walls, inside the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park
• Iglesia de Santiago el Mayor (early 16th century, late Gothic) and Plaza de la Constitución with its fountain
• Fuente Vieja, an old wash house turned into a museum of traditional washing
• Caving Interpretation Centre, which is also the Park information point
• On the outskirts: the Presa de los Caballeros, the Cueva del Hundidero and remains of a Roman bridge over the Campobuche

Good to know

• The road from Venta La Vega is narrow and winds along the edge of the cliff: take it slowly
• At the end of September the Batalla de la Puente (Battle of the Bridge) against the French is re-enacted (Peninsular War)
• Combine it with Benaoján, the Cueva del Gato and the Cueva de la Pileta: they are all a few kilometres apart
