• Village in the Sierra de las Nieves at 427 m, in a valley, on the Ojén road (A-355)
• Monda Castle, on the old Arab fortress (9th century), now a hotel with views
• Plaza de la Ermita with the monument to the miner and the Fuente-Lavadero de la Jaula (16th century)
• Iglesia de Santiago Apóstol, Casa Museo Marigloria, Roman road and bridge and an olive oil mill
• Fiesta de la Sopa Mondeña on the last Sunday of March (about 7,000 people)

Good to know

• Parking: coming in from Marbella, turn left along C/ Dolores to the end of C/ Portugal; or the municipal car park on C/ Feria; or on Av. de Guaro and C/ Málaga
• Festivals: Día del Carbonero (Charcoal Burner's Day, 1 May), Festival Flamenco Villa de Monda (July) and Feria de San Roque (August)
• One-day route: Ojén → Monda → Tolox via the A-355 and the Málaga–Ronda road
• The tourist office is in the Town Hall
