- Andalusia's most famous Spanish fir forest, in the Sierra del Pinar
- Initial climb of almost 2 km through pine woods up to the Puerto de las Cumbres, with views of the Sierra de Ronda and the Torreón
- Then Spanish firs up to 30 m tall and a cool, shady forest
- Descent to Benamahoma: square, three-spout fountain and Molino del Susto mill
Good to know
- Ask for the permit in good time (by email, giving your name, ID or passport, number of people, date and trail): there is a daily quota
- It's one-way: arrange the return with two cars or someone to pick you up in Benamahoma
- The descent is steep and slippery: good footwear
- Grazalema is one of the rainiest places in Spain: check the weather
