About
- The former CAC Málaga is now the MUCAC (Museo Centro de Arte Contemporáneo), run by the city council, with two sites: La Coracha (Paseo de Reding, 1, at the foot of the Alcazaba) and Mayoristas (Calle Alemania, in Soho)
- La Coracha is open and free: the collection 'Ayer. Colección 1940-1990' (until April 2027) and temporary exhibitions that change every few months
- The Mayoristas site is still closed for works (October 2026): they were awarded in December 2025 with a five-month deadline, but the official website lists it as 'temporarily closed'
- Collection with works by Picasso, Tàpies, Brinkmann, Chicano or Equipo 57
Good to know
- Go to La Coracha: free entry and views of the port; it fits well with the Alcazaba and the Paseo del Parque
- Before heading to Mayoristas, check mucacmalaga.eu to see whether it has reopened: in October 2026 it was still closed
- Closed Mondays
- If Mayoristas is open, combine it with a stroll past the Soho murals
