Must try

The oxtail is what comes up most ("the best outside Córdoba", February 2026), and the pork cheek. Also Black Angus rib, rabbit and pork.

About

Classic restaurant opened in 1974 opposite the Real Maestranza bullring, with bullfighting décor. Traditional Ronda cooking, adapted for visitors; its sommelier, Tomás Mayo, has won wine awards.

Good to know

Book, especially on bullfight days. The artichokes with ham and the croquettes are less convincing (April 2026). The bullfighting décor is not to everyone's taste.

Getting there and parking

Park at the Martínez Astein car park (Av. Martínez Astein s/n, 24 h, about €1.70/h) and walk along Carrera Espinel to the Plaza de Toros, 10 minutes. On bullfight days (Pedro Romero fair, early September) the centre is closed off: allow plenty of time.
